2019 VA Calculator: beta version

A beta version of the VA calculator can be downloaded here.

PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT FIRST. ANY DATA ENTERED ONTO THE ONLINE VERSION WILL VISIBLE TO ALL AND WILL BE DELETED.

Please note that in addition to the usual issues at this time of year – estimates and standard deviations will change – we also have the issue of new pre-key stage assessments, for which we do not currently have the nominal scores. In the absence of any guidance (which will be issued alongside the tables checking data at start of autumn term) I have made a best guess based on those used last year.

Feel free to download and use but treat any data with caution, especially that relating to pupils with pre-key stage assessments.

I’ll update it in autumn term when guidance is released.

    Hi,
This is a very cheeky question but would it be possible to have an unprotected version so that it is possible to copy out some of the data to use?
    Thanks,
    Steph

Great work, struggling to get it to calculate PP and Non PP progress scores, just says #DIV/0! I have input all manually, rather than cutting and pasting, have you any suggestions? Thanks again for your great work.

Hi. Did you enter the PP indicators in the pupil groups column on main data entry page?

Have just checked and it definitely works. You need to complete the pupil group indicators on main ‘pupil VA calculator’ sheet – columns C-F. This should then show progress scores for groups on the ‘pupil groups’ tab.

    Hi James,

Have you updated theVA calculator for the 2019 cohort? I think that you previously mentioned that you would do this in the Autumn term.
    Thanks for your help.

Hello, thank you so much for these resources over the last few years, they have been useful in identifying key children.

However just a quick question about the one I have just downloaded, the KS1 results pull down tab is still L1, 2c, 2b etc.. however this year group have the starting points of WT, WA etc.. is there away of transferring this?
