Systems: advice, installation and support

Sig+ works with Insight, a very simple yet extremely powerful and highly customisable system. We want schools to have systems that work for them, fitting their curriculum and assessment policy like a glove.

Our philosophy is that tracking systems should be built from the classroom upwards as tools to support teaching and learning, reducing workload and making teachers’ lives easier. They should be capable of storing any assessment data in any format and provide users with quick access to actionable data via a range of easy to understand reports designed for a wide range of audiences.

Our aim is to help foster a more positive data culture in schools.

Analysis: identifying strengths and weaknesses

There is so much performance data available for schools now, and we can help you make sense of it all. Pulling together information from a wide range of sources including ASP, IDSR, FFT, LA data, and internal tracking systems, we will help identify key strengths and weaknesses and spot those easily missed issues that may be picked up on by inspectors.

We will then help you summarise your data for your Governors, school development plan and SEF; and ensure you are best prepared for Ofsted.

For federations and clusters of schools, we can help you collaborate better by measuring performance across sites; and for smaller schools we can produce 3 year aggregated data for more meaningful analysis.

At the end of the summer term we can help calculate attainment, progress and value added data several months in advance of ASP.

Training: Raising awareness and improving skills

We offer a complete package of training that can be tailored to meet your needs. Whether it’s 1 to 1 with a head teacher, or aimed at groups of staff and governors, clusters of schools or even entire district partnerships, we can deliver the training you require.

Commonly, the focus will be on the interpretation of various school performance data, or getting the most from your tracking system. We are also well equipped to deliver more in depth sessions on the advanced functionality of ASP and FFT.

Training can be delivered face-to-face, or via online webinar, to suit your needs and your budget.

Support: anytime by phone, email and text

We will provide ongoing support for schools on all aspects of performance data and systems, either through face to face meetings or via phone and email. And we’re always available on twitter. View us as your emergency data service.

The support we have had from Sig+ has given the whole of the SLT team skills to analyse the data and the confidence to present the data to Ofsted and DFE. Sessions were very informative, run at our pace and have ensured that we are up to date with current national thinking around assessment, and allowed us to reflect on our practice and adapt as appropriate.
